What? A BBQ Fund Raising Event for the Food Pantry at Zion Lutheran Church (Sat., July 29)
Where? 1216 W. 8th Street, Davenport. We’re just a few blocks north of the RAGBRAI dip site at Marquette and 8th Street (see map, below).
How much? $10 per plate (cash / Venmo: @ZLCHolySmokes): smoked pork or chicken sandwich, chips, veggies, fruit, water, and dessert
What for? All proceeds will benefit the neighborhood food ministry program of Zion Lutheran Church. Our food pantry is open 2x per week, and we are host to a weekday meal program coordinated by Churches United of the Quad City Area.

When do you start? We’ll start serving at 10:30 and keep on trucking until it all runs out. We’ve smoked about 125 lbs. of pork butt and whole chickens. That ought to hold us for awhile, but we just don’t know how many to expect. Please check this page for updates during the day.
